There are a couple of differences between the Mud colored 400-LR Lantern and the Green colored 1000-LR Lantern.
The 400-LR Lantern has a brightness of 400 Lumens and the 1000-LR has a brightness of 1000 Lumens.
The 1000-LR offers a softer "Daylight" colored bulb, while the 400-LR offers a brighter "Cool White" colored bulb.
One of the best features of the 400-LR is the dry storage in the battery compartment.

What is the difference between the 400-LR and 1000-LR Lanterns?
There are a couple of differences between the 400-LR Lantern and the 1000-LR Lantern.
The 400-LR Lantern comes in 3 colors, Blue, Mud, and Yellow and has a brightness of 400 Lumens and the 1000-LR comes in Green and has a brightness of 1000 Lumens.
The 1000-LR also has a warm amber colored tint to its light. While the 400-LR Lantern is cooler and has more of a blueish tint.

Can the Lanterns, Headlamps and Flashlights float?
Yes! The 400-LR, 1000-LR, Headlamps and Flashlights can float! No need to hold your breath if you knock over your device into a puddle, sink or even a lake! Your Tough Light will float right back up to the top allowing you to easily retrieve it! Do not hold the device underwater for extended periods of time. The Tough Light is designed to float so that it does not sink and break. These products are not submersible. Do not intentionally hold these products underwater.
Can I charge my Smart Phone with a Tough Light Power Bank?
Yes! You can charge your Smart Phone with a Tough Light Power Bank! In fact we include a USB Type-C converter to allow you to use the included USB charging cord if needed. But whenever possible, we recommend using the original cable that came with your phone. The best results come from the Manufacturer's original cable.
Can I charge USB devices with the Tough Light Lantern?
Yes! You can charge your USB devices with a Tough Light Lantern using the charging port! In fact we include a USB Type-C converter to allow you to use the included USB charging cord if needed. However it is recommended to use your phone's included cord because some phones require a particular amount of current when charging. Keep in mind that the Lantern will not provide speed charging! This allows the Lantern to fulfill it's primary purpose which is to last as long as possible so that you are not without light.
